About the Role
Assistant Management Accountant - Multi-Site Business in Hatfield, Hertfordshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established and dynamic multi-site business based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This key role will involve supporting the Management Accountant with month-end activities for the group, as well as working closely with the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.
We are looking for a well-rounded individual, either a qualified or finalist accountant, with experience in a multi-site environment and exposure to management accounts. If you're looking to add value to a growing and progressive business, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee purchase ledger processes, ensuring invoices are posted and paid accurately and on time
- Manage bank reconciliations, ensuring they are kept up to date
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support the month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Contribute to the annual and bi-annual audit processes
- Assist with minor payroll tasks
- Ensure business process and accounting policies documentation is up to date
- Collaborate with third-party providers and suppliers
What We're Looking For:
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficient IT skills, including advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.) is advantageous
What's on Offer:
- Competitive salary between £30,000 and £35,000, depending on experience
