With the incumbent Finance Director and Board member for this logistics business having relocated to Yorkshire, the Managing Director needed to recruit a suitable replacement. As well as being a Board appointment, the role will play a significant part in a 5 year plan for growth, alongside the MD and the newly recruited Commercial Director.
With responsibility for various functions in the business and two direct reports, the Finance Director will be part of the strategic direction of the company and setting the tone of the culture of this value led business.
Our approach was to work on a retained basis. This allowed us time to really penetrate both the active and the passive candidate audience.

Salary banding - £90,000 - £120,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Board member role
- Creation and execution of a 5 year growth plan with all members of the Board
- Drive the financial planning of the organisation by analysing its performance and risks.
- Retain constant awareness of the organisation's financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Set up and oversee the organisation's finance IT system.
- Management of two direct reports
